Ingredients:-
Toor dal- 1 cup
Cauli flower- 1/2 cup
Carrot - chopped 1/2 cup
Radish- 1/2 cup
Lady's finger- 6 count
Onion- 1 large cut into cubes
Salt to Taste
Sambhar powder- 2 tbsp
Tamarind juice- 1/2 cup
Turmeric- 1/4 tbsp
For Tempering:-
Mustard seeds- 1/2 tbsp
Zeera- 1/4 tbsp
Dry red chillis- 3 pieces
Hing- a pinch
Green chillis- 3 sliced
Curry leaves- 5 count
Procedure:-
1- Wash and boil the toor dal in a pressure cooker for 6-7 vessels and keep aside.
2-Now take a wok add oil then add the tempering ingredients then add onions when the mustard seeds starts crackling.
3-Now saute onions and for a min then add all the vegetables and cook well.
4-When they are cooked well add the dal and add salt, turmeric, sambhar powder , tamarind juice and mix well.
5-Now close the lid and boil for 5 - 6 min and its ready to serve.
Have this rice/Vada/idle tastes good.....
Sambhar looks so yummy and comforting ..... wonderful.
