Basmati rice:- 2 cups
Shrimp- peeled and devined 1lb
Sliced onion- 1
Coriander leaves chopped
Ginger garlic paste-1 tbsp
Grated coconut-1 tbsp
Coconut milk- 3 (if the milk is thin if thick 2 cups)
Lemon juice- 1 tbsp
Turmeric powder-1/4 tbsp
Green chillis- 2 sliced
Oil required
Cinnamin stick-1 inch (dalchin)
Cardamons- 4 count (yalak)
Cloves- 4(Lavang)
Star Anise- 2 (biryani flower)
Bay leaf- 2 (biryani leaf)
Water- 1cup
Curry leaves- 4 countSalt required
dhaniya powder- 1/2 tbsp
Garam masala- 1/2 tbsp
Turmeric- 1/4 tbsp
Chilli powder- 1/2 tbsp
Procedure:-
1-First soak the rice for 10 min and clean the shrimp.
2-Take a large pan and add oil heat it then add whole garam masala cinnamon, bay leaf, cardamom, cloves, star anise, green chillis , curry leaves and fry well then add onions fry then add ginger garlic paste and fry until brown.
3- Now add salt, turmeric, Chilli powder,Dhaniya powder and shrimp and cook well until the shrimp is cooked.
4-Now add the coconut milk , water , salt, and garam masala and boil it.
5-When the water starts boiling add rice and simmer the flame and close the lid. It cooks with in 7 -8 min.
6- Taste the water before adding rice .If the water is not salty add little salt and garam masala.
