Ingredients for babatlu:-
Maida- 1 1/4 cup(all purpose flour)
pesarapappu- 1 1/2 cup(moong dal) or chana dal
Sugar- 1 cup
Oil- 1/4 cup
Water- 5-6 cups
Sugar- a pinch
Salt -a pinch
Ghee for frying bobatlu
Ingredients or kattu:-
Water- boiled water used for boiling pesarapappu.
Mustard seeds- 1/2 tbsp
Zeera- 1/2 tbsp
Curry leaves- 5 count
Rice flour- 3 tbsp
Water- 1 tbsp
Dry red chillis- 3 pieces
Green chillis- 2 chopped
Salt to taste
Procedure for babatlu:-
1-First take a pan add moong dal and water and boil until the moong dal is half cooked when u press the moong it should be hard but should become paste like this
2-Now filter the water in a bowl by using the sieve. Dont throw the water it is used for making kattu.
3-Now take out 3 tbsp of boiled moong and keep aside for kattu .
4-Now cool it off when the moong is cool grind it into fine paste in a mixie also add the sugar and grind it so we need not need any water. Dont add any water if needed add tbsp we need a thick paste in this way
5-Now make equal size bolls of this paste and keep aside.
6-Now take maida and add apinch sugar and salt and mix well in a soft dough it should stick to u r hand.Then add 1/4 cup of oil into it and keep aside for 1/2 an hour.
7-Now take a aliminium foil or paper banana leaf or any plastic thick cover and apply oil all over it.
8-Now take little maida dough and spread it to stuff the moong bolls in it.
9-Now cover the boll with rest of the dough edges and again tap it with hand into a thin chapathi like this
10-Now take a pan heat it spread ghee and take the sheet and turn it on the pan and with the help of spatula drop it slowly on pan like this
11-Now fry well in simmer until it looks like this.Procedure for kattu:-
1-First take pan add oil heat it and then add the mustard seeds, zeera, green chillis,red chillis, curry leaves and fry well now add the boiled moong dal water and the kept aside moong dal init and boil well add salt and let it boil.
2-Now take the rice flour and mix little water and add and stir it by adding in the boiled water until it thickens.
3-Serve this with this sweet good combination.
