Dry Mango Dal


Toor dal-1 cup
Dry mango pieces-2-3 u can use fresh also-1
Green chillis-2 cut into pieces
Dry red chilli-2 cut into pieces
Water-2 cups
Oil-1 tbsp
Curry leaves-4-5
Hing-a pinch
Mustard seeds-1/2 tbsp
Zeera-1/2 tbsp
Salt to taste
Garlic cloves-3 to 4


*First clean the dal and boil it by adding 2 cups of water to it. In
a pressure cooker for 7 -8 vessels . U should also add water in the
cooker other wise the dal may roast.

*Now take a pan add oil heat it. Then add mustard
seeds, zeera, garlic, curry leaves, hing, red chilli, green chilli and fry
them until the garlic is cooked in alow flame now add the dry mango
and mix.

*Now take out the dal and smash it properly with a smasher and add
it in the pan and mix well and add little water according to the
thickness u want.Now add salt accordingly.

*Now serve with hot rice.
